Compensation (Hourly Range): $44.00-$48.00 per Hour

This is a contract position; however it is not uncommon for assignments to transition into permanent positions with our client companies. Job Responsibilities                                              

Your specific duties as a Voice Network Engineer will include:        

  • As a Voice Network Engineer, you will be providing support for large Partner Managed branch voice networks consisting of Avaya IPT, Nortel TDM and Siemens TDM equipment and small PBX/Key systems including two HA Pairs of Acme 3820 SBC’s.
  • Support Changes to Telecom network including release testing, process documentation (runbooks/as-built diagrams), first day of business support
  • Support data gathering and analysis required for voice Capacity Management function.
  • Provide software currency and Capacity Management recommendations advising Customer on capacity issues, expansion plans, dial plan changes and network optimization;
  • Track and maintain site and system inventory, including circuits, telephone numbers, line and trunk cards, Toll Free Numbers and telephones/handsets.
  • Investigate Voice quality issues
  • Work with Voice Managed Services support towers to maintain a high level of customer satisfaction of network services.
  • Provide assistance in monitoring, incident / problem Management and change Management of PBXs.  
  • Consult on service scope of changes and is provide technical and process recommendations to improve service.

It is also important that you display excellent verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills.

  • Avaya Communication Manager 6.3 implementation - change, design, operations, and troubleshooting
  • Avaya Call Center applications - Operations, administration, change, and troubleshooting
  • Experience with Announcement boards, Alternate routing (ARS/AAR), Service hours tables, Holiday tables, Vectoring , Trunking/Routing, Station and Agent configuration, Media gateways, Port Networks, Local Survivable Processors, DSP resources, COR/COS, , Avaya IP Phones, Codecs, TCPIP, IP Network regions
  • Avaya CMS - Support for Supervisor as well as CMS configuration and administration
  • Oracle Session Border Controllers
  • Avaya System/Session Manager - SIP configuration, operation, change, and troubleshooting
  • Avaya Application enablement Server - Operations, change, troubleshooting
  • Avaya Aura Messaging
  • Avaya Aura Conferencing
  • Genesys IVR/ Avaya Integration
  • Nice Call recording (DMCC and Station Side) integration with Avaya
  • Virtual Hold integration with Avaya
