Job Responsibilities                                              

Your specific duties as a Supply Chain Specialist will include:         

  • As the Supply Chain Specialist you will analyze, schedule and control the inventory of parts assets which are supplied by Industrial plants, subsidiaries and suppliers by implementing forecasting and ordering guidelines to meet inventory level and percent of fill goals.
  • Pro-actively contact supply base to expedite parts deliveries for depot orders to achieve world-class levels of after sales support and customer satisfaction.
  • Utilize Common Spare Parts System (CSPS) for forecasting, order placement and supplier collaboration activities.
  • Provide high level of product support and customer satisfaction while optimizing the inventory of the company.
  • Establish accurate sales forecasts for assigned parts and provision accordingly.
  • Review and expedite parts to resolve availability and scheduling issues that arise.
  • Determine priorities with a sense of urgency to provide customer satisfaction with regards to parts shipments.
  • Communicate to resolve parts shipments in timely manner.
  • Provide accurate follow up information on parts orders placed on suppliers, subsidiaries, and plants regarding availability.
  • Control all scheduling and inventory levels of product lines assigned.
  • Maximize product support levels to dealer organization.
  • Provide inventory support for Parts Marketing and remanufacturing programs.
  • Support new product introductions and product upgrade campaigns.
  • Establish and maintain partnerships with suppliers.
  • Responsible for $20+ million part inventory.
  • Responsible for supplier on-time delivery results.
  • Approve surplus/obsolete inventory reduction candidates.
  • Work with suppliers to balance cost/benefit of supplier minimum order quantities versus impact to company inventory and cost

Supply Chain Specialist

Job Requirements

As a Supply Chain Specialist you must represent our company well by being responsible, punctual and motivated to go above and beyond the call of duty. You must also be highly detail-oriented and organized with excellent analytic and problem-solving abilities. It is also important that you display excellent verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills.

  • Bachelor's Degree in Supply Chain, Inventory Management, equivalent OR Associates degree plus 3+ years of experience in Material Supply with knowledge of exceptions forecasting, inventory control, order scheduling, or customer service background with knowledge of inventory control systems.
  • Demonstrated ability to multitask and prioritize workflow in a fast paced environment
  • Certification in APICS is a plus
  • Industry Experience
  • Strong Analytical Skills
  • Excellent Communication Skills (both verbal and written)
  • Experience generating reports and performing data analysis with Microsoft Excel
