Job Responsibilities

Your specific duties as a Supply Chain Manager will include:

  • Supervise direct reporting staff according to overall company policy
  • Oversee and ensure proper production control planning and scheduling of manufacturing operations
  • Develop and monitor staff member’s performance to maximize potential
  • Responsible for the achievement of department/division/unit productivity and quality goals
  • Plans, organizes, directs, and controls activities related to the Supply Chain function.
  • Develops strategies to achieve organizational goals; Understands organization's strengths & weaknesses; Identifies external threats and opportunities.
  • Communicate with customers and suppliers regarding delivery, quantity shipped and purchased materials.
  • Apply strategic planning to determine company, department or unit objectives
  • Manage the Shipping, Receiving and Logistics functions of the plant.
  • Plan and implement procedures and systems to maximize operating efficiency
  • Effectively manage inventory accuracy.
  • Maintains optimal inventory levels to ensure on-time deliveries while minimizing carrying cost and premium transportation charges.
  • Work closely with Manufacturing Operations and other departments concerning materials management and delivery performance.
  • Design material layouts for new product launches
  • Achieve corporate Supply Chain Metrics
  • Monitor supplier performance to assess ability to meet quality and delivery requirements.
  • Achieve and maintain corporate Supply Chain score on the Basic audit
  • Monthly KPI Supply Chain reporting
  • Provide support to department and operations after hours and on weekends as needed


Supply Chain Manager

Job Requirements

As a Supply Chain Manager you must represent our company well by being responsible, punctual and motivated to go above and beyond the call of duty. You must also be highly detail-oriented and organized with excellent analytic and problem-solving abilities. It is also important that you display excellent verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills.

  • Must have Automotive and know the major auto companies.
  • They have to be at the plant level and understand items such as: cycle county, variances, know the ins and outs of the plant departments.
  • Looking for someone who is currently or recently was in a Supply Chain Mgr. in the automotive industry.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management
  • Ten (10) or more years’ experience in inventory control, production planning, material handling, S&R, Supply Chain Flow and component purchasing.
  • Ten (10) or more years direct experience in Supervising hourly and salary employees
  • Automotive and union experience preferred
  • Excellent computer including typing and the use of Microsoft Excel and Word
  • Ability to read, write and perform non-complex mathematical calculations
