This is a contract position; however it is not uncommon for assignments to transition into permanent positions with our client companies. Job Responsibilities                                              

Your specific duties as a Project Controls will include:       

  • The Site Schedulers are responsible for incorporating the implementation details into the schedule (once implementation contracts are awarded), integrating with any other site work activities that either impacts or is impacted by the new project, and for defining the implementation baseline dates. The Site Scheduler will maintain and update all field implementation work. These updates may be obtained from the vendor schedule submittals, manual updates provided by on-site / responsible vendor representatives, or direct communication with the GM/PD/PM assigned to monitor and control the work.
  • Development of site integrated schedule
  • Work with Project Teams for Emergent, Strategic, Ash Management, and Demolition Projects as required to integrate all Ash Management work into an integrated schedule.
  • Work with contract vendors to integrate schedules for projects.
  • Maintenance of site integrated schedule
  • Work with Project Teams for Emergent, Strategic, Ash Management, and Demolition Projects as required to update all Ash Management work in the integrated schedule.
  • Work with contract vendors to get and verify updated schedules for projects.
  • Support development of recovery plans as necessary with project team
  • Work with Project Teams for Emergent, Strategic, Ash Management, and Demolition Projects as required to update all Ash Management work in the integrated schedule.
  • Work with contract vendors to get and verify updated schedules for projects.
  • Support development of project changes as necessary with project team
  • Establish baseline schedules as required to support project.
  • Review Project Change Requests for impact to schedule.
  • Support project scheduling required for Funding submittals.
  • Support project reporting (Project Status Reports, etc.) as necessary with project team
  • Schedule adherence reporting.
  • Quantity reporting.
  • Schedule variance analysis.
  • Contact for Reporting group during development of standard tools being utilized by Projects.
  • Daily Project Manager’s Report input.

Job Requirements

As a Project Controls you must represent our company well by being responsible, punctual and motivated to go above and beyond the call of duty. You must also be highly detail-oriented and organized with excellent analytic and problem-solving abilities. It is also important that you display excellent verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills.

  • Graduation from a four-year college or university - business, finance, project management, engineering, technical, or equivalent.
  • Minimum of 7 years of project controls experience.
  • Minimum of 11 years of project controls experience in lieu of a degree.
  • Expert in project controls principles.
  • Expertise, Mastery with project management, project controls concepts, computer applications, analytics; employee development; strong collaborative team member; oversight.
  • Preferred Qualifications: Masters - business, finance, project management, or equivalent. PMI or AACE certification (the following or equivalent are acceptable - PMP, CAPM, PMI-SP, AACE-CCC, AACE-PSP, AACE-CEP, AACE-EVP).
  • Software such as MS Project/MS Office Suite, Primavera, Business Objects, Prolog, Passport, Visio, Powerplant, Emax, PeopleSoft. Risk management tools, Monte Carlo analysis.
  • The Principal Project Controls Specialist may have relationships with individuals of varying levels in various organizations.
  • Project teams of external Suppliers/Vendors.
