Compensation (Hourly Range)*: $25-30/hr.

This is a contract position; however it is not uncommon for assignments to transition into permanent positions with our client companies. Job Responsibilities                                              

Your specific duties as an Operations Assistant will include:

  •  Monitoring daily import shipments and processing the movements through CSCN, GTNexus and SA
  • Generates and monitors reports daily.
  • LS report
  • PWG report
  • Masterlist Report
  • Shipment Aging Report
  • Reconciling imports files and accurate data input of import files in computer systems
  • Process supplier orders in CSCN held up in module folders
  • Create manifests in GTNexus for missing and/or incorrect shipments
  • Update GTNexus milestones in accordance to coincide with current progress within supply chai
  • Perform respective SAP action/steps
  • Working closely with colleagues in transport planning and port operations to ensure a seamless movement through supply chain
  • Ensure statuses in SAP are correct and updated accordingly
  • Monitor and update port outgates to include off port yard locations
  • Managing the necessary documentation and online forms for the efficient, cost-effective and proper execution of all import activities
  • Review import ocean bills of ladings from steamship lines for accurate data
  • B/L number
  • Vessel name
  • Voyage
  • Container No. (if applicable)
  • ETAs
  • Port of Entry
  • Cargo IDs (including static cargo)
  • Piece count
  • Communicating with import-related vendors and suppliers as necessary to ensure efficient support and activities
  • Communications via email and/or phone to respective parties to acquire correct and accurate data to input into systems/applications
  • Planning and implementing import strategies and activities consistent with overall aims and requirements of port operations
  • Applicable communication with origination shipping agent to advise of delivery problems
  • Daily tracking of container shipments of wholegoods
  • Identify problems associated with import files and work with port operations team for resolutions

Job Requirements

As an Operations Assistant you must represent our company well by being responsible, punctual and motivated to go above and beyond the call of duty. You must also be highly detail-oriented and organized with excellent analytic and problem-solving abilities. It is also important that you display excellent verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills.
