 Millwright in Guelph, ON

* Full time position with ability to work overtime. $30.59/hour +Overtime after 44 hours + benefits.
 

*Must be able to work night shift (10.00pm-6.00am). 

PURPOSE:

Test and repair all aspects of equipment, and machinery.  Work within the Engineering and Maintenance Team to increase efficiency, production quality and volume. Apply principles and techniques of mechanical engineering to accomplish goals.  Familiar with a variety of mechanical concepts, practices, and procedures.

Responsibilities:

  • Troubleshoot, repair and perform preventative maintenance to a broad range of mechanical equipment.
  • Repair and replace parts for injection moulding equipment and assembly lines.
  • Welding and fabrication required.
  • Applies mechanical theory and related knowledge to test, modify and repair operational machinery.
  • Trouble-shoot electrical/logic issues as required for equipment, implementing permanent corrective actions
  • Involved with equipment assembly, installation, troubleshooting and repair of equipment
  • Work from detailed schematics, drawings and other manufacturing documentation as required.
  • Assist to identify and implement cost reduction initiatives through process or secondary assembly equipment improvements

  • Provide existing product line support in design activities and/or modification of hardware control systems in production
  • Ensure policies and procedures are in accordance with TS/ISO 16949 standards with respect to quality of work, maintaining a safe, clean, and orderly work area, and protection of the environment.

    Requirements:

    Licensed Millwright

  • Diploma or Technical Certificate preferred
  • Minimum of three (3) years of experience in a manufacturing environment
  • Strong Mechanical and Assembly Skills
  • Experience with Injection Moulding Presses a definite asset
  • Hands on instrumentation troubleshooting an asset
  • Experience with hydraulic systems a definite asset
  • Knowledge of basic electrical theory an asset
  • Basic software knowledge required
  • Good communication skills required
