This is a contract position; however it is not uncommon for assignments to transition into permanent positions with our client companies. Job Responsibilities                                              

Your specific duties as a Electrical Designer will include:    

  • This level requires thorough knowledge of tasks assigned at the Design Technician level. For a position to be classified at this level, there must be a demonstrated need for a work leader or for a technically advanced design technician.
  • If an Worker is a work leader (responsible for 3-5 Workers and a total of (8-10 projects), in addition to the tasks performed at the Design Technician level, a primary responsibility is to coordinate and monitor projects of assigned personnel.
  • Typical tasks include: evaluating work requests for complexity and scheduling conflicts, assigning work to Workers in the work.
  • Does the employee’s primary duty involve performing office or non-manual work that is directly related to the management or general business operations of the employer or the employer’s customers? Yes (The exercising of discretion and independent judgment must directly impact the management or general business operations of the company.
  • These decisions generally impact areas such as taxation, legal, human resources, accounting, personnel management, computer network/IT management or administration, or public relations.)
  • Will the employee’s primary duty includes the exercise of discretion and independent judgment with respect to matters of significance.
  • Yes, primary duties will be to review electrical as built drawings, field check them and update configurations in the system.
  • If yes, what do these duties entail and how will they directly impact the business operations or the customers? Impact of these systems is to protect employees for the purposes of LOTO as well as other field and engineering work.

Job Requirements

As a Electrical Designer you must represent our company well by being responsible, punctual and motivated to go above and beyond the call of duty. You must also be highly detail-oriented and organized with excellent analytic and problem-solving abilities. It is also important that you display excellent verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills.

  • Graduation from a two-year college or university in a technical field, or a bachelor’s degree in engineering technology. Minimum of two years’ experience.
