Electrical Controls Conveyor Specialist       

Job Responsibilities

Your specific duties as an Electrical Controls Conveyor Specialist will include:

  • Provide oversight for field work in support of ash management projects at Belews Creek station.
  • The projects involve construction of electrical power, controls, and instrumentation associated with dry bottom ash conveyors and process/waste water pumping systems.
  • This job will be responsible for reviewing contractor submittals and work plans, and ensuring work is progressing safely and on schedule by performing daily field observations to verify all PO requirements, design basis, and Energy standards are met.
  • Specifically this includes health and safety performance, environmental standards compliance, craft work productivity, schedule progress, work quality, work order administration, and work interface with station processes (LOTO, confined space, outages, etc.).
  • Prepare necessary reports (events, status, non-conformance, observation, etc), attend meetings, and complete assigned project integration activities.
  • Coordinate and facilitate work plans to ensure event free performance.
  • Provide coordination and support for commissioning of new systems.
  • This work will align with contractor's schedules and may require night, weekend and holiday coverage during portions of the project.
  • Majority of work time will be in field and working around existing power plant systems and equipment.

Job Requirements

As an Electrical Controls Conveyor Specialist you must represent our company well by being responsible, punctual and motivated to go above and beyond the call of duty. You must also be highly detail-oriented and organized with excellent analytic and problem-solving abilities. It is also important that you display excellent verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills.

  • High School diploma.
  • Experience and knowledge in electrical and controls systems and construction methods.
  • Effective communication skills.
  • Prior experience in a supervisor capacity of craft employees
  • Prior experience working with Energy or Belews Creek station.
  • OHSA 10-hour safety training program certification.
  • Demonstrated problem solving ability.
