We are a leading staffing firm and our clients include some over the nation’s biggest companies. Our client has a need for an Accounting Analyst I - Accounting/Finance. This is a contract position; however it is not uncommon for assignments to transition into permanent positions with our client companies. Accounting Analyst I - Accounting/Finance       

Job Responsibilities                                              

Your specific duties as an Accounting Analyst I - Accounting/Finance will include:    

  • Role involves setting up, monitoring, and closing out capital projects that client's business requests. Client is a capital intensive business with numerous projects.
  • This job provides fanatical support to the regulated businesses for the normal life cycle setup and management of a project in a finical planning system (power plan). The incumbent must have basic understanding of capitalization policy. He/she provides retirement processing and unization for the assigned jurisdictional business group supported.
  • % of Time Performed Major responsibilities and specific job duties
  • 80% Retirement activities:
    - Enter retirements
    - Start ARC clearing process
    20% Unitization activities:
    - ARC overrides
    - Clear ARC failures
    - Journal entries required to final unitize
    - Unitize to Continuing Property Records in Power Plan

Job Requirements

As an Accounting Analyst I - Accounting/Finance you must represent our company well by being responsible, punctual and motivated to go above and beyond the call of duty. You must also be highly detail-oriented and organized with excellent analytic and problem-solving abilities. It is also important that you display excellent verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills.

  • Associates degree in accounting or related field or 2 years of professional work
