US CIB IT Infrastructure & Production - End User Computing Desktop – Vulnerability Remediation


  • The principle objective of this position is to provide level 1 & 2 support for any End User Desktop related activities (including engineering and support services for multiple technologies for Microsoft products and other vendors’ products residing on users’ desktops with a focus on remediation’s of threats based on CVSS Scope for all our estate (15k+ hosts).

  • The team on member will provide quality support and coverage for day-to-day activities and emergencies, including automation and feedback systems, uphold Bank standards, and maintain the progress on delivery of assigned projects. This position requires day-to-day support activities, administration and projects associated the entire Window platform in Americas.


  • 5 to 7 years Expertise with Microsoft windows products with focus on large complex organizations (15k+ hosts).  
  • Will be required on-call for escalations 24*7 in rotation.
  • Expert knowledge using PowerShell scripting.
  • Expert knowledge using Microsoft System Center Configuration Manager 2016.
  • Expert knowledge of Active Directory
  • Good knowledge of Windows OS (2K3/2K8) and Windows W2K3/W2K8 Enterprise components and technologies such as Domains, DNS, Registries, DHCP/WINS.
  • Good knowledge of VMWare & Citrix/XenApp
  • Good knowledge of the Windows workstations build, deployment, (packaging )
    • Patch management design and planning for workstations and laptops
    • Application deployment / update
  • Good working knowledge of networking functions (i.e. function of TCP/IP, SNMP) subnetting and routing.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Parts of the overall service providers across the region for capacity planning of SCCM, Print Release, Desktop platforms
  • Required to achieve goals and objectives as approved with the RDH
  • Providing services as per agreed KPIs within the region with the RTCO and Captive CTO (levels and details of KPIs to be defined)
  • Excellent project management skills focused on outcome-based results
  • Service oriented, positive, committed, and enthusiastic team player.
  • Collect and disseminate best practices from the EUC services to relevant impacted groups
  • Respect and adhere to the changes management processed within the region


  • Action appropriate measures to remediate vulnerabilities with the focus on reducing impacts and exposure in our windows environment (desktop area & Mobile Devices “laptops”) based on CVSS scoring.
  • Perform system upgrades and mandatory security patching “Patch management” for all machines that have vulnerable software identified
  • Help perform version alignment to simplify remediation and tracking of desktop products.
  • Identify and recommend appropriate measures to manage and remediate vulnerabilities with the focus on reducing potential impacts on information resources to an acceptable level based upon CLIENT’S policies and standards.
  • Ability to fully understand business requirements and work with business partners to define appropriate solutions, meeting both security mandates and business needs.
  • Strictly abide and follow the company policy and procedures pertaining to change and incident management
  • Contribute to ensuring that all systems are deployed consistent with group standards and best practices
  • Incident and Problem management:  take ownership and work with team to resolve production related issues within is remit.
  • Follow groups standard security practices within the environment
  • Direct contribution to CLIENT’S operational permanent control framework.
  • Knowledge of standard methodologies of Service Delivery (ITIL, COBIT) is a plus
  • Project Management Knowledge
  • Experience in evaluation and design of SCCM technical architectures
  • General Banking Knowledge
  • Technical knowledge of the applications used within THE CLIENT
  • Knowledge of the Norms and Standards of the CLIENT
  • Respect the norms to reduce Operational Risk  
  • Will be required on-call for escalations 24*7 in rotation
