This is a contract position; however it is not uncommon for assignments to transition into permanent positions with our client companies. Seat Electrical Integration Engineer        

Job Responsibilities                                              

Your specific duties as a Seat Electrical Integration Engineer will include:   

  • Compensation (Range):  / hour: 35-49 HR
  • Seat GSSLT Electrical Integration Engineer
  • Responsible for supporting the Electrical Integration work within Seating GSSLT by leading the Seat Wiring Harness Assessment (WHA) activities.
  • Work with Program Seat DREs, Seat Validation and GM Power & Signal Distribution Systems (PSDS) to drive flawless Virtual & Physical WHA executions.
  • Confirm completion of each WHA at required cadence through the Seat Peer Review Process.
  • A considerable amount of creativity and initiative are involved as well as a high level of independent judgment.
  • Support, monitor and track the Virtual & Physical WHAs for all program
  •  Know the WHA Best Practices and routing requirements
  • Collaborate/coach global DRE seat engineers on technical correctness of seat harness routing, ICDe and electrical integration,
  • Understand and ensure all requirements are understood and incorporated into every program
  • Support the development enterprise cost optimization scenarios and lead their implementation as it relates to seat wiring
  • Support Warranty, QRD, PRTS, validation, and simulation lessons learned for seat wiring harnesses
  • Regular attendee and engagement Seat Peer Reviews and Seat Warranty Reviews as seat wiring harness expert
  • Provide support to DREs during harness routing design and layout for 2nd & 3rd row seating
  • Provide support for development and integration of module development
  • Support DREs by reviewing current process and determining optimization opportunities
  • Communicate weekly during 1-on-1 with Electrical Integration Tech Lead, or more often if needed

Seat Electrical Integration Engineer

Job Requirements

As a Seat Electrical Integration Engineer you must represent our company well by being responsible, punctual and motivated to go above and beyond the call of duty. You must also be highly detail-oriented and organized with excellent analytic and problem-solving abilities. It is also important that you display excellent verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills.

  • Bachelors degree in Engineering discipline
  • 5+ years experience of seating experience preferably in seat harness routing/connections
  • Basic Electrical knowledge
  • Prior knowledge of Siemens Teamcenter software a plus
