We are a leading staffing firm and our clients include some over the nation’s biggest companies. Our client has a need for a Product Engineer - Bumpers. This is a contract position; however it is not uncommon for assignments to transition into permanent positions with our client companies. Applicant must be eligible to work in the US for immediate opening.  For this opportunity, the successful candidate will be directly employed by Bartech Staffing as a W2 employee while providing services to our end client.

Product Engineer - Bumpers        

Job Responsibilities                                              

Your specific duties as a Product Engineer - Bumpers will include: 

  • Compensation (Range):  / hour: 29-40 HR
  • Lead/Support large cross-functional Product Development Team(s) (PDT) for component/subsystems (Members consist of suppliers, designers, other engineers, validation, manufacturing, supplier quality, dimensional, CAE, purchasing, etc.)
  • Support the development of cutting edge solutions for new technologies involving electric & autonomous vehicles, active safety, and lit elements.
  • Design and package both BGFT components and directed buy components such as sensors, cameras, harnesses, lamps, etc.
  • Lead the development of criteria/typical sections using Unigraphics math data; communicate with the studio for surface development that meets requirements.
  • Balance subsystem imperatives (cost, timing, mass, warranty, etc.)
  • Perform appropriate design studies/alternatives, and present studies and business cases to the program team for optimal decision making
  • Support/lead design reviews and technical reviews to ensure 100 percent design fidelity and all best practices are implemented.
  • Create Interface Control Documents (ICD) requirements for component and subsystem interfaces. Negotiate and obtain agreement with peers for interfacing components.
  • Communicate information to and from internal and external customer and support organizations
  • Release Production Design, on time with quality, to meet all required program milestones/deliverables
  • Develop Statement of Requirements (SOR) and support the sourcing process for assigned BGFT programs
  • Lead launch efforts for BGFT by working closely with the assembly plant(s) and cross-functional personnel to quickly bring issues to resolution

As a Product Engineer - Bumpers you must represent our company well by being responsible, punctual and motivated to go above and beyond the call of duty. You must also be highly detail-oriented and organized with excellent analytic and problem-solving abilities. It is also important that you display excellent verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills.

  • Plastics experience
  • Component integration
  • Release experience (DFMEA, PFMEA, etc)
  • Looking for self starters. With the current virtual enviornment , need individuals that don't require an extreme amount of oversight.
  • Looking for candidates that can come with an energy and desire to learn, while driving for results.
