We are a leading staffing firm and our clients include some over the nation’s biggest companies. Our client has a need for a Plant Logistics Manager. This is a contract position; however it is not uncommon for assignments to transition into permanent positions with our client companies. Applicant must be eligible to work in the US for immediate opening.  For this opportunity, the successful candidate will be directly employed by Bartech Staffing as a W2 employee while providing services to our end client.

Plant Logistics Manager        

Job Responsibilities                                              

Your specific duties as a Plant Logistics Manager will include:        

  • Compensation (Range): $100-120K per year based on experience
  • Responsible for material procurement, warehousing, and distribution of raw materials, goods-in process, inventory management, and distribution of finished goods
  • Controls the commercial impact of the complete range of activities from receiving, locating and dispatching, sourcing, purchasing and optimizing inventory levels
  • Administers an effective system that meets the organization's inventory control needs through efficient transportation of raw materials, component parts and/or finished goods
  • Analyzes contractual commitments, customer specifications, design changes, and other data to plan and develop logistics program activities from conceptual stage through life-cycle of product
  • Develops and implements program activities, coordinates efforts of subcontractors, suppliers, production departments, and field service personnel, and resolves problems in area of logistics to ensure meeting of commitments

Job Requirements

As a Plant Logistics Manager you must represent our company well by being responsible, punctual and motivated to go above and beyond the call of duty. You must also be highly detail-oriented and organized with excellent analytic and problem-solving abilities. It is also important that you display excellent verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills.

  • Bachelor's degree
  • 7 or more years of logistics engineering and or/logistics management experience in a manufacturing environment
  • Lean manufacturing experience
  • Excellent verbal and written communications skills
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office, especially Access, Excel and PowerPoint
  • Comfortable presenting in front of groups
