Compensation (Range): $40 - $42/ hour

 

If you are an experienced IT User Experience Designer looking for a position with a leading company, Lorien can help! We are a leading staffing firm and our clients include some over the nation’s biggest companies. Our client has a need for an IT User Experience Designer. This is a contract position; however, it is not uncommon for assignments to transition into permanent positions with our client companies. Applicant must be eligible to work in the US for immediate opening.  For this opportunity, the successful candidate will be directly employed by Lorien as a W2 employee while providing services to our end client.

Job Responsibilities                                              

  • Applies knowledge of usability, human factors, and UI processes to create innovative user experiences.
  • Assists team members in pre- and post-development usability testing.
  • Creates and maintains project and overall system design artifacts.
  • Works with the development team and test organization to ensure that new features are implemented according to specifications
  • A portfolio is required at application (website URL or attachment) to demonstrate strong conceptual and analytical skills and ability to prototype and design elegant UI solutions to complex user problems.

Job Requirements

As an IT User Experience Designer, you must represent our company well by being responsible, punctual, and motivated to go above and beyond the call of duty. You must also be highly detail-oriented and organized with excellent analytic and problem-solving abilities. It is also important that you display excellent verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills.

  • Minimum two years of UX design experience
  • Experience in the use of at least two design and prototyping tools, such as: Sketch, Adobe Illustrator, Adobe XD, Balsamiq, InVision, or Figma to create user interfaces
  • Demonstrate use of typography principles
  • Ability to think in terms of holistic design, apply strategic thinking and business goals to design work, focus on usability, and understand aesthetic values.
  • Experience managing multiple projects and effective time management skills
  • Ability to translate customer needs into design and articulate that design to technical and non-technical team members
  • Demonstrate effective communication and presentation skills
  • Experience with Sketch and InVision
  • Experience designing for construction or agriculture in-vehicle interfaces and/or customer-facing displays
  • Experience with agile development methodologies
  • Experience working with remote development teams
  • Experience understanding and applying visual brand guidelines/style guides
  • Experience applying a broad range of User Research tools
