Our client has a need for a HR Analyst. This is a contract position; however it is not uncommon for assignments to transition into permanent positions with our client companies. HR Analyst        

Job Responsibilities                                              

Your specific duties as a HR Analyst will include:  

  • Compensation (Range): 39-43 / hour
  • Duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
  • Provides subject matter expertise and support around optimizing and streamlining the Workday HRIS System, specifically with the Recruiting and Talent modules
  • Configures and manages system workflows, calculated fields, condition rules, eligibility rules, data setup, etc. in alignment with agile product management methodology
  • Applies an innovative and creative approach to the development of ideas, enhancements and potential solutions
  • Participates in and/or facilitates Workday enhancement efforts (e.g., prototype demos, future-state design sessions, use case development, etc.) while understanding business needs and system requirements
  • Leads and assists with the analysis and review of system upgrades and new functionality while identifying potentials impacts and enhancement opportunities associated with a new release
  • Performs testing for new functionality and processes by defining test criteria and ensures that adequate testing is performed on system modifications to provide quality assurance and a smooth transition
  • Provides end-user troubleshooting, issue remediation, technology request assistance and escalation management while adhering to established service level agreements
  • Monitors reoccurring issues, system/data or process gaps and proactively identifies potential solutions for increased efficiency and enhancements
  • Applies an empathetic approach with customer consultation on moderately complex to complex business operational issues, data/statistical analysis and projects
  • Applies superior analytical and technical skills for translating and analyzing business needs into requirements, configuring system functionality, driving projects and initiatives, and delivering effective, value-add solutions
  • Develops positive working relationships to effectively complete work activities, to provide strong consultation to management, and to collaborate with a broad range of customers

Job Requirements

As a HR Analyst you must represent our company well by being responsible, punctual and motivated to go above and beyond the call of duty. You must also be highly detail-oriented and organized with excellent analytic and problem-solving abilities. It is also important that you display excellent verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills.

  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field with a minimum of 3 years of relevant experience, OR a minimum of 6 years of relevant experience in lieu of a degree
  • Experience in configuring business processes, custom/calculated fields, condition rules, etc. within the Workday HCM product
  • Possesses active certification(s) in Workday configuration
  • Experience with working effectively in an agile environment using the scrum methodology
  • Experience with creating and managing stories, sub-tasks and cycle plans within an issue tracking product (e.g., JIRA)
  • Effective analytical and problem-solving skills required to analyze complex issues, develop logical conclusions and make appropriate recommendations
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills
  • Effective interpersonal and collaboration skills, including influencing and empathetic listening skills to effectively engage with teammates, internal and external customers, management, etc.
  • Effective self-motivation, prioritization and time management skills
  • Ability to maintain a high-level of patience and professionalism in a fast-paced environment
  • Experience with performing transactions in Workday while maintaining confidential data
