Automotive Business Development Manager
Function: Customer Care and Aftersales
Location: Western Region

Role Summary:

A critical aspect of this position is to have regular face to face contacts with WDs and specifically their customers which include ISC, installers and fleet shop customers and  Loyalty Members.

Regular travel within the assigned district is required and the incumbent will utilize a company assigned vehicle.

Major Responsibilities:

• Responsibilities include developing and executing sales strategies that drive revenue from the sales of Automotive parts to  Warehouse Distributors who in turn support customers in their Primary Market Areas (PMA).
• Meet and/or exceed annual and monthly Sales Objectives and Loyalty Member

Objectives.
• Represent OEM Company as the Business Development Manager in their designated District/Territory.
• Support Business Plan strategies and tactical plan execution.
• Prospecting new customers and supporting the Company’s Loyalty Programs – Professional Service Centre (PSC), Automotive Care Expert (ACE), Key Fleet Program and Retail Service Support Program (RSSP)
• Grow  Loyalty Program Membership – PSC, ACE, KFLT and RSSP
• Collaborate with Product Program Development (PPD) to ensure that the product offering is relevant and compelling to our customers’ needs and demands
• Interface and cross function with several internal stakeholders such as Supply Chain,  PDC,  Product Line Managers, Training and  Marketing Agency to achieve objectives and goals.


Job Responsibility Detail

• Service existing distributor locations, update branch staff on products and programs, monitor branch inventories, update branch inventories, and assist with inventory clean up.
• Maintain existing loyal member accounts (ISC’s) and establish new ISC accounts.
• Plan, organize, and conduct customer meetings, product seminars, and cooperative sales activities with Warehouse Distributors and their customers
• Contributes to team effort by accomplishing sales related results, manage/process warranty, conduct stock lift activities and inventory audits as needed.
• Focus sales efforts by studying existing and potential volume of customers.
• Monitors competition by gathering current marketplace information on pricing, products, new products, delivery schedules and merchandising techniques.
• Recommends changes in products, service, and policy by evaluating results and competitive developments.


Required skills and Experience:
Automotive retail or wholesale industry experience
• Strong communication, leadership capabilities and attention to detail
• Superior analytical abilities combined with great decision-making skills
• Ability to work independently and in cross-functional team environments
Valid G level Driver's License
Willingness to travel

 

Education and Training:

Bachelor’s Degree, preferably in Business or Marketing.
