2 Automotive Maintenance Supervisor Roles (3 Rotation Shifts)
12 Months Contract (Extension or Perm Possibility)
St. Catharines, ON, Canada

 

Min 9 - 15 years (of Supervising, Managing, Leading a team on  Automotive Stamping Assembly Line w/ some exp in managing machines/systems)
 

Technical Skills:

Welding/ Body shop

Automotive preferred

Automation a plus

Soft Skills:

• Manage teams ranging from 20 - 25 Union members

• Quick learner

• Interpersonal skills

• Can work in a very fast paced environment


Supervising, Managing, Leading a team: Can be defined as someone who has the responsibility of managing and supervising a team of members - responsible for hiring, firing, taking disciplinary actions, managing the performances, solving and improving the working issues involving team members, all HR aspects, training and development, etc.  

Managing Machines/Systems: Can be defined as someone has displaying technical knowledge and experience in preventative measures, diagnosis and repair, and maintenance activities on machines and systems on assembly floor. 

 

-Flexible to work any shifts – 3 Rotation Shifts

Days 7 am - 3 pm EST
Afternoons 3 pm -11 pm EST
Midnight 11 pm - 7 am EST

-Amazing overtime Opportunities!!! (Weekends/Holidays - OVERTIME) 

-Proven experience in supervising and managing Plant machinery in Automotive (Technical knowledge/understanding of Paint shop equipment and facilities), Aerospace or Manufacturing industries

-Technical Proficiency, Knowledge, Experience in any of - Mechanical & Electrical Machines/Concepts (HVAC, PLC  Programmable Logic Controllers, Pneumatics, Hydraulics, ETC.) – Assembly/Facility Area, Diagnostic Repairs, Maintenance, Blueprints/Maintenance Drawings

-Understanding of maintenance systems including PM, PDM, planning, worker safety and job planning

-Understanding of conveyance systems, HVAC, fluid delivery, PLC controls, robotic systems and electrical principles.

-Knowledge of automotive manufacturing process

-Any previous experience in Unionized Environment (e.g. UNIFOR, CAW, Teamsters, UFCW Canada, etc.) 

-Proven experience in delivering “JIT Just in Time” or “Lean Manufacturing” or any other relative process/quality/productivity improvement process and strategy

-Proven experience in supporting/implementing the QS9000/ISO14001/(GMS) Global Manufacturing System compliance processes

-Min High School, Preference Bachelor’s Degree or College Diploma – Engineering/Technical

-On top of Bachelors/Diploma, training in skilled trades area or equivalent technical training (Highly Desirable)
