We are a leading staffing firm and our clients include some over the nation’s biggest companies. Our client has a need for a Accounting Analyst. This is a contract position; however it is not uncommon for assignments to transition into permanent positions with our client companies. Applicant must be eligible to work in the US for immediate opening.  For this opportunity, the successful candidate will be directly employed by Bartech Staffing as a W2 employee while providing services to our end client.

Accounting Analyst        

Job Responsibilities                                              

Your specific duties as a Accounting Analyst will include:   

  • Compensation (Range):  / hour $25/hr
  • Basic understanding of the Power Plan system
  • Familiar with all applicable job aids on FPO SharePoint
  • Able to functionally perform their role (approvals, unitizations, date updates, etc) with moderate level of guidance
  • Understanding of the Power Plan and PeopleSoft close cycle including allocations, timing of AFUDC, CCNC, and other key processes.
  • Analysis, ad-hoc reporting, reconciliations
  • Understanding of all SOX controls affecting/affected by the project life cycle
  • ARC rules: understand and resolve the rules specific to the type of project/assets supported by the team
  • Growing knowledge of project related-work, such as unitizations, retirements
  • Seek appropriate guidance to resolve failed unitizations and retirements (updated monthly by PP close team) and begin applying autonomousl
  • Provide input into presentations or reports for management review, including appropriate FERC and GAAP accounting

As a Accounting Analyst you must represent our company well by being responsible, punctual and motivated to go above and beyond the call of duty. You must also be highly detail-oriented and organized with excellent analytic and problem-solving abilities. It is also important that you display excellent verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills.

  • Working knowledge of other systems necessary to perform work: Maximo, Manhattan, PeopleSoft CAPS, Webi, Cube, Power BI
